MACtac® Constructs Facestocks with Rubber-based Adhesive & Polyester Liner

STOW, Ohio -- MACtac® Printing Products expands its prime paper products to include polyester liners that are available on four paper facestocks and constructed with its permanent, rubber-based MP710VHP adhesive.

Designed for high-speed printing and converting, the new specialty polyester liner allows an aggressive hot melt adhesive to be used for a smooth, quiet release under a broad range of application conditions.

The thinner caliper of the liner allows for more labels per roll of product for customers and end users while maintaining its strength for high speed converting.

"With advancements in printer capabilities, we recognized the need of printers and converters to run a product at higher speeds without fear of web breaks," said Michael Marasch, senior director of marketing, MACtac Roll Label. "Traditional paper liners can have a tendency to tear, stopping the label application process due to uneven release of the matrix and label. The strength of our new prime paper with film liners nearly eliminates web breaks for reliable converting and application." The MP710VHP adhesive is designed to adhere to a variety of surfaces including low surface energy materials like high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It offers long-lasting performance and secure adhesion to resist tampering for high-value products, such as spirit and wine bottles, health and beauty products, chemical containers and pharmaceutical and labeling applications.
